About Amanda Jane Bynum

Amanda Bynum is a passionate and empathetic advocate for the criminally accused in Arizona. Amanda owns AJB Law Firm, LLC that incorporates technology and 21st century business practices to best serve clients. The practice is located in Downtown, Tucson, Arizona, and provides concierge-level service to clients facing criminal charges including DUI, Domestic Violence and felony-level offenses. Amanda has a reputation as an educator on a variety of topics, including DUI defense, trial techniques, legal ethics, attorney wellness, and productivity. Her former experience as a law professor makes her skilled at at reducing the complicated and difficult down to the simple and actionable—for my clients, opposing counsel, the judge and jury. At the University of Arizona College of Law, I taught courses that helped prepare students for success in law school, on the bar exam, and in practice. Amanda directed the Externship program where she developed and taught a course focused on competencies and foundations for practice, and provided training to attorney-supervisors in best practices for mentoring and guiding externship students. Amanda continues to train practicing attorneys by regularly teaching CLEs for attorneys focused on mentoring, self-care, and accepting feedback. Amanda previously ran the Criminal Defense Clinic through the Pima County Public Defender’s office and has taught Basic Trial Advocacy for many years. Amanda is a proud Bar Leadership Institute alum and served on the Member Assistance Program Task force and the State Bar Professionalism Task force tasked with redesigning learning objectives for the required professionalism course for first-year lawyers in Arizona. In addition to law and teaching, she spends time with her husband and two kiddos, dancing in my living room, exploring the Sonoran Desert, creating art, and studying yogic philosophy. Always striving for balance, she previously ran a successful wedding photography business, and a podcast on lawyer wellbeing.
