About Beth Broeker
<p>Beth Broeker has served in every branch of Arizona state government, and within the executive branch for over 20 years. She specializes in cross-systems collaborative efforts to benefit Arizona children in the areas of child welfare, juvenile justice, education, and social services. She is currently the Legal Systems Bureau Administrator for the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections. From 2015 – 2020, Beth was the Chief Hearing Officer at the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections, where she was named the 2018 Correctional Professional of the Year. Beth served as Deputy General Counsel at the Department of Child Safety during its transition from a division within the Department of Economic Security to a cabinet-level agency, and advised executive leadership throughout that transition. Prior to that, Beth was the Senior Regulatory Attorney at the Department of Economic Security. She clerked for the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division 1, for Hon. Susan A. Ehrlich, and was a legislative intern for counsel at the Arizona House of Representatives while a visiting student at Arizona State University College of Law. </p> <p>Beth is a graduate of the Children’s Action Alliance Leadership Academy, and is a Georgetown University Center for Juvenile Justice Reform Fellow. She and her husband were licensed foster parents from 2002 – 2010. Beth also volunteered in both Bloomington, Indiana and Phoenix, Arizona as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. She has a B.A. from DePauw University and a J.D. from Indiana University. </p>
