About Chad Philip Miesen
Chad Miesen provides general counsel, transactional and securities advice to the firm’s business clients. He also represents clients in litigation with a focus in the areas of civil litigation and bankruptcy. Chad joined the firm in 2007 and became a shareholder in 2016. His litigation practice includes advising community associations as well as other companies, boards of directors and individuals about resolving litigation with shareholders, investors and members, conducting internal investigations, and handling disputes about the ownership and management of businesses. Chad also assists numerous entrepreneurs and businesses raising capital and borrowing money through a broad array of capital market transactions such as convertible note issuances, preferred equity deals and private placements. Chad has significant experience representing creditors in bankruptcy and supervises the firm’s bankruptcy practice. Of notable experience, Chad successfully represented an insolvent condominium association in a bankruptcy case that resulted in a confirmed plan of reorganization and final decree saving the association thousands of dollars and helping it to be a thriving community association once again.
