About Christina Chyrise Muir
Christina Muir has been a member of the Arizona State Bar since 2018. She joined Elkins & Muir, P.L.L.C in 2017. Ms. Muir grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut, and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona when she was sixteen years old. Ms. Muir is an alumnus of Arizona State University, graduating in May 2014 with a Bachelors in Philosophy, two minors in Justice Studies and English Literature, and a certificate in Ethics. Ms. Muir graduated Magna Cum Laude. In May 2017, Ms. Muir graduated from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Muir served as the President of the Family and Juvenile Law Association for two years, and as an Article Editor for the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law. Ms. Muir spent the majority of her second year writing her thesis on child custody law as it pertains to families continuously exchanging children between the United States and Mexico border. This topic was and continues to be very relevant to the parenting styles that exist along the Southern Arizona region. Ms. Muir maintained membership in the Student Bar Association, Law Women’s Association, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and American Bar Association. Ms. Muir also pursued work in several clinics, most notably, the Child and Family Law Clinic. During her time in the Child and Family Law Clinic, Ms. Muir represented several children in dependency cases. Ms. Muir dealt with issues such as child abuse and neglect, visitation, adoption, and termination of parental rights. The other clinics include: Southern Arizona Legal Aid Wills Clinic, and Southern Arizona Gender Alliance Name and Gender Marker Clinic. Ms. Muir aimed to keep busy during her summers in law school. She clerked for Judge Bibbens (Family Law Bench), and interned for the Pima County Office of Children’s Counsel. Finally, Ms. Muir interned for Karp & Weiss, P.C. Outside of practice, Ms. Muir is happiest when she is surrounded by family, friends, and animals. Ms. Muir loves to snowboard in the winter and travel whenever possible.
