Biographical: Crystal Rios Ramos has enjoyed working on behalf of injured workers since 2003. She was a workers’ compensation paralegal for 10 years, for one of the largest law firms that solely handles workers’ compensation claims, before becoming a licensed attorney. After receiving her license to practice law in Arizona, she began handling all the cases for that law firm’s Tucson office. She also managed the Tucson office for that firm, until she was recruited by another law firm in Phoenix. That Phoenix firm hired her to handle all the workers’ compensation cases and manage the workers’ compensation department for the Phoenix office. Thus, she is accustomed to handling a high volume of cases. Recently, she started her own law firm, where she continues to represent injured workers and fight for their rights in their workers’ compensation claims. Crystal is bilingual, fluent and proficient in English and Spanish. In her free time, she takes pleasure in giving back to the community, serving at church, and being a Big Sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona program. Crystal also volunteers as a court appointed advisor in family law cases, through the volunteer lawyers program. She also enjoys playing co-ed recreational softball with her family and friends. Education: Crystal graduated from Phoenix College with an Associates in Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies. Then Crystal attended Arizona State University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Thereafter, Crystal graduated from Phoenix School of Law with a Juris Doctorate Degree. While attending law school, she served as President of the Hispanic Law Students Association. She also served as an extern for the Peoria, Arizona Prosecutors office where she prosecuted misdemeanors. When she graduated, Phoenix School of Law recognized her with the Serving the Underserved Award for being especially active in community service projects.
