Mr. Ashman is a former Due Process Hearing Officer for the Illinois State Board of Education, where he adjudicated claims filed under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Mr. Ashman is co-founder and former president of Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago, a non-for-profit camp for children fighting cancer, and he serves as an elected official on his local school board.
