About Kyle James Shelton

An Arizona native, Kyle Shelton received his law degree from the Arizona State University College of Law in 2009 and his Bachelor of Arts in English from Northern Arizona University in 2006. For the past two years, Kyle has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Arizona. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Kyle has a passion for oral advocacy, and has completed jury trials in federal and state courts and argued in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Kyle focuses his practice on insurance bad faith, aiding clients who have had their long-term care or long-term disability claims denied. While attending law school, Kyle received recognition for his excellence in oral advocacy, having been a recipient of the International Academy of Trial Lawyer’s award, inducted into the Order of the Barristers, awarded First Place in the ASU 2008 Jenckes Closing Argument Competition and the 2008 ASU Moot Court Oral Argument Competition. Kyle was also honored to be the ASU College of Law 2009 Student Convocation Speaker. Kyle has also been recognized in the 2010 and 2011 Arizona Attorney’s Creative Arts Competition for his work in humorous writing.
