About Liana J Garcia

Liana received her Juris Doctor degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University in 2009, where she was awarded the Order of the Barristers for distinction in oral advocacy, and won the statewide closing argument competition, the Jenckes Cup, in 2007. After law school, Liana practiced commercial litigation for several years at two of Arizona’s largest and most well-respsected law firms before focusing her practice on government affairs. She has been named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2014, 2015, and 2016. Originally from Washington State, Liana earned her Bachelor’s degree with Honors from the University of Washington in Seattle. Before she started law school, Liana had a successful 15-year career in the insurance industry. Liana is passionate about community service, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona, and Waymark Gardens, a HUD property providing housing to low-income elderly and those living with disabilities. She is a big fan of rescue dogs and tennis.
