About Lila Sol

Lila Sol started her career working primarily in non-profit organizations, including homeless shelters and social service providers, focusing on supporting families and youth in New Mexico. Thereafter, Lila spent close to a decade working as a paralegal, focusing on civil matters in both New Mexico and Colorado. Later, Lila combined her skill and passions and focused on a legal career centered in public service. She attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and focused her clinical work on assisting victims of domestic violence with obtaining protection orders. After becoming licensed to practice law, Lila clerked in Boulder County District Court for the domestic and civil dockets. Thereafter, Lila worked for a prominent Boulder law firm as an associate attorney, working primarily in domestic relations, with some civil and appellate representation. She then worked in the Denver office of Colorado Legal Services representing indigent parties in divorce and custody matters. She later returned to the Boulder Court to serve as a Family Court Facilitator where she conducted over 1,000 status conference hearings. Most recently, before joining Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Lila was a sole practitioner focusing on domestic relations law primarily in the Boulder/Denver Metro area of Colorado. Lila has been active in legal education by teaching Continued Legal Education courses, both on a local level and statewide in Colorado. She trained county court judicial officers in protective orders through a statewide video series, assisted in rule changes and legislation that benefited victims of domestic violence, and has volunteered as an attorney and board member for organizations that focus on access to justice and serving low-income individuals. Lila joined Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Inc,. as the Directors of the Volunteer Lawyers Program in June 2022 to continue her focus and mission in providing high quality legal services to those that cannot afford legal assistance, especially as realted to domestic voilence survivors.
