<p>Brian A. Laird was raised in Tucson, Arizona, attended local schools, and graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law. Mr. Laird is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Arizona College of Law, teaching trial advocacy and pre-trial litigation. Mr. Laird is past President of the Federal Bar Association Tucson Chapter, and a former member of the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court.</p> <p>Mr. Laird is an experienced courtroom lawyer, who has successfully represented victims in cases involving severe personal injuries, professional malpractice, consumer fraud, elder financial abuse, and bad investments.</p> <p>Mr. Laird&rsquo;s local knowledge and assertive representation enable him to obtain top results for clients in complex legal disputes. Mr. Laird has obtained judgments totaling more than $10 million, and millions of dollars in settlements. Mr. Laird has litigated numerous cases for corporate clients and individuals with liability at issue in excess of one million dollars. Mr. Laird provides sophisticated, effective representation for companies and individuals in business and financial litigation, real estate, and development disputes, as well as construction defects, and other commercial litigation.</p> <p>Mr. Laird received his bachelor&rsquo;s and master&rsquo;s degrees from the University of Arizona. He graduated the University of Arizona College of Law with honors in 2000. In law school, Mr. Laird was a member of the National Moot Court Team. He was winner of the Best Brief, Best Overall Advocate, and Outstanding Oral Advocate in Final Round of the Fegtly Moot Court Competition. He won the Jenckes Closing Argument Competition twice. He was awarded the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award[www.iatl.net], and the Chandler Award for Advancement of First Amendment Values.</p> <p>In addition to two novels of suspense, Bowman&rsquo;s Line (1996) and To Bury the Dead (1997), Mr. Laird has published short stories, articles, and reviews in various publications.</p> <p> </p>
