<p>Attorney Chris Rasmussen has been practicing criminal defense and personal injury law in Las Vegas, Nevada and Arizona for 20 years. He earned his JD at Gonzaga University, and his studies allowed him the opportunity to study at three different universities in Europe as well. While in Europe, he was fortunate enough to study in Vienna with Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. These studies provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the international criminal justice system from some of the founders of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.</p> <p>While studying criminal justice, Attorney Rasmussen participated in a 260-hour internship with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Southwest Area Command, giving him additional insight into criminal law and criminal defense.</p> <p>Attorney Chris Rasmussen opened his first law office in 2001. During that time, he was appointed to the CJA panel and tried five of the most complex and lengthy criminal cases in the District: United States v. Acosta (Hells Angels), United States v. Kahre (Four Month Tax Evasion Trial), United States v. Camez (Carder.su Computer Hacking) and United States v. Sellers (Complex Rico Prison Gang Trial). United States v. Bundy et al (Government Stand-Off at Bundy Ranch).
