Telles served as law enforcement specialist and K-9 handler for the United States Air Force where he was an explosive detection task force member with the the United States Secret Service, he also worked in the Narcotics Interdiction Task Force for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), served as Anti-Terrorist Unit member in the middle east, and worked as a prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
