<p> Ernest Calder&oacute;n, a native of Morenci, Arizona and a graduate of Northern Arizona University & the University of Arizona College of Law, has practiced law for over 35 years and practices in all Arizona courts as well as federal courts situated in Arizona, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and other U.S. Circuit Courts. He is &ldquo;AV Preeminent Rated&rdquo; by Martindale-Hubbell. </p> <p> His practice areas include Civil Litigation; Commercial Litigation, Employment Law; Administrative Law; Professional Licensing; Education Law; Personal Injury; Appellate Law; and Construction Law. He serves as a Mediator, Arbitrator, and Special Master. He is a member of the prestigious American Law Institute, a Founding Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He has served six Arizona Governors by appointment. He is president emeritus of the Arizona Board of Regents.</p> <p> Mr. Calder&oacute;n was President of the State Bar of Arizona in 2002-03 &ndash; the first Hispanic to serve as its president. He was a State Bar of Arizona delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates from 2004-2008. He was named 2002 Latino Lawyer of the Year by the Hispanic National Bar Association. Mr. Calder&oacute;n is active in numerous civic endeavors and is a former member of the Arizona Commission on Appellate Court Appointments.</p> <p> Some of Mr. Calder&oacute;n&rsquo;s reported cases are Florez v. Sargent, 185 Ariz. 521, 917 P. 2d 250 (1996); R.L. Augustine Const. Co., Inc. v. Peoria Unified School Dist. No. 11, 188 Ariz. 368, 936 P.2d 554 (1997); Arizona Independent Redistricting Comm&rsquo;n v. Fields, 206 Ariz. 130, 75 P.3d 1088 (Ct. App. 2003); and Gallo v. U.S. Dist. Court For Dist. Of Arizona, 349 F.3d 1169 (9th Cir. 2003).<br /> </p>
