<p>I attended the US Naval Academy and Ohio State Univeristy where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation I began working as an engineer for the General Electric Company in engineering, marketing and sales around the country. I joined Leeds & Northrup then J.R. McDermott as an engineer and later a manager doing business development and contract negotiation.</p> <p>While at J.R. McDermott I obtained a Master of Business Administration degree concentrating in finance from Whittier College and then a Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law.</p> <p>I began my practice in Minnesota focusing on small businesses, doing both transaction and litigation work. In 1993 I moved to Arizona and continued to represent small businesses in all matters including: benefit corporations, litigation of all corporate issues, limited liability corporations, benefit corporations, buy sell agreements, mergers, corporate formation, employment issues, drafting minutes and consents, non competition agreements, unfair competition, commercial torts (e.g. inteference with contracts, inteference with business), commercial contracts, medical practice contracts, software agreements, internet contracts and disputes and corporate compliance.</p> <p>I am also available to handle mediation and arbitration of commercial disputes. Alternate Dispute Resolution is an effective and speedy way to resolve matters privately.</p> <p>I am married and have twin sons living in Bend, Oregon and Rota, Spain (Navy serving on destroyer). We enjoy spending time in the mountains and participating and watching all sports.</p>
