<p><strong>Howard (Howie) J. Powers II </strong>is a principal owner at Weitzman & Powers, Ltd. and is general counsel to Weitzman Realty Associates, L.L.C.. Howie, in addition to his law practice, has assisted in the acquisition and development of various real estate ventures including residential, commercial, retail, industrial, medical office and land acquisition and development. Howie refined his real estate knowledge as real estate associate with Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix, Arizona. Later he was associate general counsel for Franchise Finance Corporation of America (later FFCA GE Capital). Howie obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law, his Master&rsquo;s degree from Arizona State University of Arizona and his Bachelor&rsquo;s of Science degree from the University of Arizona. Howie was a four year letterman in football at the University of Arizona and was honorable mention all-academic PAC-10 performer. He formerly coached football at Arizona State University where he was the graduate assistant to Lovie Smith and Rod Marinelli. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Weitzman Foundation and is a former board of director for the Real Estate Investment Association &ndash; Illinois (REIA).</p>
