About Mr Jeffrey J Kros

<p>Jeff hails from Omaha, Nebraska where he graduated from Creighton University with a B.S.B.A. in 1990 and Creighton Law School in 1994. He and his wife Kim moved to Arizona in 1995.</p> <p>After becoming a member of the Arizona Bar, Jeff began working with the Arizona Department of Revenue litigating sales and corporate income tax cases. He then took a position as the Research Analyst for the Senate Finance Committee in 1998. Since then, Jeff has worked as a public and private lobbyist for entities such as the Department of Revenue, the League of Cities & Towns, WorldatWork (formerly the American Compensation Association) and the Arizona Municipal Water Users&rsquo; Association (AMWUA).</p> <p>Jeff joined the Senate Majority Staff in November 2014 as Deputy General Counsel and Policy Advisor for the water, natural resources and government committees. During this time, he served as a member of the Steering Committee that designed the Drought Contingency Plan (DCP). He also worked with then-Senator Debbie Lesko on the very successful and comprehensive reform of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS). His efforts were largely appreciated because he was voted Best Capitol Staff in 2015 and Best Political Lawyer in 2018 by the readers of the Arizona Capitol Times.</p> <p>In 2019 Kros moved to the Arizona House of Representatives to serve as Senior Attorney and Policy Advisor on the House Majority Staff, where he worked on the elections, government and ethics committees as well as the legal advisor on parliamentary issues.</p> <p>Jeff and Kim reside in Scottsdale.</p>
