About Mr John H Messing
<p>A graduate of Princeton University and Stanford Law School, where he served as an editor of the Law Review, Mr. Messing was a Fulbright scholar in France, taught law in Ethiopia, negotiated out the first articles of the Intelsat Treaty with representatives of different nations, was an associate with the Silicon Valley law firm of Fenwick & West, and was a noted contributor to many science and technology law organizations. He was panel chair and chief presenter for immigration-related State Bar of Arizona Continuing Legal Educations seminars in 2014 and 2015. He has served as the liaison to USCIS for the Science and Technology Law Section of the American Bar Association, was a co-founder and Chair of LegalXML-OASIS, a technology-legal standards organization, is a former Chair of the Electronic Filing Committee of the ABA, and has contributed extensively to legal-technical standards for electronic property records filing and storage, electronic notarization, and electronic service of process. He developed and sold three U.S. patents relating to encryption and electronic signature technologies, and is a noted authority on electronic filing systems for legal purposes. Mr. Messing practiced primarily family, investor and business law immigration, and has had extensive experience with immigration and federal court litigation. He speaks French and Spanish. He is retired and pursues interests as an artist and author.</p>
