<p>Louis Silverman grew up in El Paso, Texas, where his father, Alex Silverman, was a long-time practicing attorney, and his mother, Blanche, a licensed attorney, was a realtor for many years. Lou moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University, where he obtained his B.S. in Business. Lou later earned his juris doctorate at South Texas College of Law in Houston.</p> <p>After law school, Lou returned to Arizona where he has been practicing law for over 30 years. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Arizona and Texas, the U.S. District Courts, Arizona, and Western District of Texas. Additionally, Lou has served as a Judge Pro Tem on the Maricopa County Superior.</p> <p>Lou is married with two adult daughters and two grandsons. He is active in his community and enjoys the opportunity to participate in non-profit organizations. He is a former member of the board of directors and a pro bono attorney for Tempe Community Action Agency, which provides essential food and housing services to the underprivileged in the east valley, and is a current member of the board of directors for Tempe Leadership and the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. He is also active in Tempe Sister Cities, which promotes foreign exchange opportunities to Tempe high school students and professionals.</p> <p>Lou enjoys many outdoor activities, including triathlons, golf, fishing, boating, and camping, and supporting local valley sports teams.</p>
