<p>At the end of October 2013, Mr. Harper retired from Polsinelli. In December 2013, he became President and CEO of the ASU Alumni Law Group. The Law Group is a unique not-for-profit teaching law firm dedicated to training recent graduates of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law how to practice law well. In addition, the Law Group is dedicated to providing quality legal services to an underserved segment of the Arizona community who are in need of quality legal services but at a reduced rate.</p> <p>Mr. Harper joined Lewis and Roca in 1973 and practiced there for 24 years. In 1997, Mr. Harper left Lewis and Roca and thereafter helped several firms, including Polsinelli, start and build full service practices in Arizona.</p> <p>Throughout his legal career, Mr. Harper has been involved in building and managing law firms. At various times, he was a practice group leader, office managing partner and a member of various firm executive committees and boards of directors.</p> <p>In his 40 years of practice Mr. Harper represented a wide range of entities in a diverse array of large complex civil litigation matters. He is an AV® peer reviewed litigator who has been included in <em>Best Lawyers in America </em>for his experience in Commercial Litigation, Construction and Labor and Employment Law, and most recently is recognized as a “bet the company” litigator.</p> <p>From 2008 through the spring of 2012, Mr. Harper was the chair of Mackrell International, a leading network of international law firms. In his role as chairman, Mr. Harper had a dynamic impact on the shape of the organization, adding over 20 quality law firms to its membership during his tenure as chair. Mr. Harper’s position required him to chair meetings around the globe, from Hanoi, Vietnam, to Budapest, Hungary, Charleston, South Carolina, Athens, Greece and Sydney, Australia.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
