<p>Matt Pierce is currently general counsel for Suntec Concrete, Inc., where he leads the company&rsquo;s legal and compliance teams. He is a former partner at Warner Angle Hallam Jackson & Formanek PLC, where his practice focused on construction law and real estate development. His construction law experience includes assisting contractors, subcontractors, designers and project owners in a wide variety of issues, including contract drafting and review, mechanic's liens, bonding and insurance, delays, non-payment, bids/proposals and public procurement, warranty and negligence claims, and licensing.</p> <p>Matt is an experienced litigator, has represented clients before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and is experienced in resolving disputes through negotiation, arbitration and mediation.</p> <p>Aside from his legal practice, since 2006, Matt has been a faculty associate at the Del E. Webb School of Construction and School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where he teaches undergraduate seniors and graduate students in the course on construction contract administration.</p> <p>Matt obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy in 2002 from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and his Juris Doctorate Degree in 2005 from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. While in law school, Matt clerked for former Chief Judge Stephen M. McNamee at the United States Federal District Court, District of Arizona, in an externship program.</p>
