<p>Mike Widener has practiced law in Arizona for 37 years, where he primarily counsels clients in real property, land use, contracts drafting and negotiation, and in business formation, maintenance, and decoupling matters. He has represented owners of industrial, commerce park, hospitality and retail properties, together with a variety of property tenants including a major supermarket chain and nursing care facility chains. Author of 30 articles in academic and professional journals on property and land use legal topics, Mike teaches continuing legal education seminars, including on property law aspects of controlled substances operations. Mike was certified as a Specialist in Real Estate Law (Board of Legal Specialization, State Bar of Arizona) from 1991-2020. Mike serves on the Arizona State Liquor Board and as a Zoning Adjustment Hearing Officer for the City of Phoenix. He is Of Counsel at Bonnett, Fairbourn, Friedman & Balint. He authored the book <em>Joint Tenancies: Property Leasing in Cannabis Commerce</em> (ABA Publications, 2018). Mike also is licensed with the Supreme Court of Tennessee and the Supreme Court of the United States..</p>
