<p>Rhett practices in the areas of water, natural resources and environmental law.</p> <p>His water law practice involves helping clients with water rights due diligence investigations, contracts and leases for the acquisition of water rights (including Colorado River entitlements), advising clients on underground water storage and recovery issues, negotiating and implementing water rights settlement agreements, obtaining permits and approvals from regulatory agencies, and negotiating, drafting and lobbying water resources legislation. Rhett has also represented clients in administrative and judicial appeals, the general stream adjudications and other complex water litigation.</p> <p>Rhett&rsquo;s environmental and natural resources practice involves helping clients on public land use issues, rulemaking processes, permitting and litigation under numerous state and federal law programs, including the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, NEPA, and FLPMA. He also represents clients on environmental cleanup and remediation issues, including environmental due diligence investigations and regulation of underground storage tanks.</p>
