He has served as president of the Arizona Association for Justice and has served that organization as chair of its Continuing Legal Education Committee, Legislative Committee and Advanced Trail Advocacy Conference. With the American Association for Justice, he has served or serves as a member of the President's Committee on the Federal Judiciary, the Law Schools Committee, the Resort Torts Litigation Group, the Jury Bias Litigation Group and the Spinal Cord Injury Litigation Group, which he currently co-chairs. He is also a member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association.</p>
