<p>Timothy H. Barnes is an experienced commercial litigator, who also represents creditors in bankruptcy and represents clients in commercial landlord/tenant matters. Mr. Barnes was born in New Haven, Connecticut on January 20, 1947. Mr. Barnes received a B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1970 and received his J.D., <em>cum laude</em>, from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 1973. Mr. Barnes is a member of the State Bar of Arizona. He is admitted to practice before the Arizona Supreme Court (1973), United States District Court for the District of Arizona (1973), United States Court of Appeals for Ninth Circuit (1983) and the United States Supreme Court (1996). Mr. Barnes has been peer-rated as AV Preeminent by the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory since 1989. Mr. Barnes was also given a &ldquo;Judicial AV Preeminent&rdquo; review rating from Martindale-Bubbell Law Directory for 2019. Mr. Barnes was a Member of the Merit Screening Committee for the District of Arizona, United States Bankruptcy Judges (1985); a contract Hearing Officer for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (1987-1995); and a contract Hearing Officer for the Arizona Department of Health Services (1975-1997). Mr. Barnes has been a frequent lecturer in commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Mr. Barnes has received several honors for his <em>pro bono</em> work with the Maricopa County Volunteer Lawyer Program. </p>
