About Mrs Melissa Casey Rueschhoff Esq
<p>Melissa Rueschhoff was born on Blytheville Air Force Base, Arkansas, to a teacher and a B52 pilot who served in Vietnam. She was primarily raised in Plano, Texas, then received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Texas in Austin and a Jurisprudence Doctorate degree with a specialty in Criminal Law from South Texas College of Law in Houston. </p> <p>She has been licensed to practice law in Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Alabama and Hawaii, as well as six federal courts. As such, she has practiced civil and criminal law in state and federal courts. Melissa has also been a law professor at University of Arizona's Rogers College of Law in Arizona, Faulkner University's Jones School of Law in Alabama, and University of Hawaii's Richardson School of Law in Hawaii.</p> <p>Her entire legal career has been focused on zealously advocating for justice. Early on, her career was focused on criminal prosecution in Special Victims Units and in combating child sex trafficking at home and abroad. In Hawaii, she was an Analyst / Special Prosecutor for the Hawaii Internet Crimes Against Children Unit in the Hawaii Attorney General’s Office and a Legislative Attorney for the Judiciary Chair at the Hawaii State Legislature. </p> <p>Now, Melissa is a Founding Partner at Signature Law Partners, PLLC, where she continues to advocate for women and children and help entrepreneurs realize their dreams. Her firm uses a boutique cloud-based model that allows her the flexibility of taking on clients and cases from anywhere in the world.</p> <p>Melissa plugs in philanthropically to the local community wherever she goes. She served on Hawaii’s Joint Venture Education Forum for three years and Ho’Ola Na Pua’s executive board of directors for six years. She currently serves as the Chair of Washington DC’s CGO Foundation and on the Common Sense Media Advisory Board. She has been featured in countless publications for her work eradicating child sex trafficking and passing Arizona's Purple Star School legislation. Melissa is a USAF senior leader spouse and an invited speaker at MAJCOM command conferences, national women’s symposiums and international podcasts. </p> <p>She enjoys living in Colorado Springs and exploring the globe with her husband Brigadier General Jason Rueschhoff and their two children, ages 15 and 16.</p> <p> </p>
