Shelling, JD PhD</p> <p>USPTO registered patent attorney with a strong background in intellectual property, entrepreneurship, chemistry, and biochemistry. Extensive IP legal experience working with academic, government, and industrial clients.</p> <p>Part-Time Faculty at Santa Barbara City College with experience teaching Entrepreneurship Law, Business Law and Chemistry, as well as mentoring start up ventures through the SBCC Scheinfeld Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. ENT 207 (Entrprereneurship Law) is currently available online and BLAW 101 (Business Law) will be offered online this Fall (2019).</p> <p> </p> <p>HOW I WORK</p> <ul> <li>ShellingIP is a virtual office; I consult with clients nationwide, and remotely.</li> <li>I usually communicate with clients by phone, email, Skype or FaceTime, but are open to suggestions for using other platforms whenever possible.</li> <li>I am semi-retired now with an established client base but can usually add a few new clients to that base each year.</li> <li>Most of my clients live either in the USA or Canada.</li> <li>I live and work near Santa Barbara, CA, USA for 6-8 months every year, typically from just before U.S. Thanksgiving (at the end of November) to around Memorial Day (at the end of May).</li> <li>I live and work in Nanaimo, BC, Canada the rest of the year.</li> </ul> <p> </p>
